Particella is a petroleum molecule exploring the coral reef, meeting the very corals she is killing. The most unnatural and, at the same time, the most natural thing. From this duality, the book opens in many directions: travel, climate, memories, the nineteenth century, an evening in a Milanese bar, the diseased characters who embody the reef, a room with two people meditating in silence. Illustrated pages and text only pages alternate like different registers of the same story.
